General Questions
Do you still do accounts and tax returns?
Yes – everything is handled properly in the background. The difference is we
don’t stop there.
What makes you different from a normal accountant?
Most accountants report what’s already happened. We focus on helping you
understand what’s happening now – and what to do next.
Do I need to be using Xero?
No – We typically use Xero because it is (relatively) easy to use and gives you
up-to-date numbers you can actually use. But the software isn’t the main thing
– the outcome is. We do work with other packages too.
How often will we speak?
It depends on what you need, but typically we’ll speak regularly enough that
you’re not left guessing.
Some clients prefer monthly check-ins, others just want to know they can pick
up the phone when something comes up.
Is this only for larger businesses?
No.
It’s for business owners who want to understand what’s going on and make
better decisions – regardless of size.
What if my numbers are a mess right now?
That’s more common than you’d think.
We’ll start by getting things into a clean, reliable position – then build from there.
Will this take a lot of my time?
Not really.
We’ll need some input from you — and to be clear, nothing improves just by paying a fee.
The difference is we’ll show you exactly where to focus, so you’re not wasting time guessing what to do next.
Can you work with my existing bookkeeper?
Yes.
We’re happy to work alongside existing teams – the goal is getting you the
right information, not replacing people unnecessarily.
How quickly will I see a difference?
Usually pretty quickly.
Once the numbers are clear, most clients feel more in control almost straight
away.
Do you only work with limited companies?
No – we work with a mix of businesses.
The important thing is that you want to understand and improve what’s going
on.
